We went to Bradford for the day to check out the gaming lounge in the National Media Museum. Here are a few pics of the exterior and interior walls. It looks very cool with the Space Invader theme.

Here are some shots of the Defender. Wasn't in bad condition but the screen was quite dull

Next up was a quick blast on Space Invaders. This had the brightest screen in the entire Lounge. Shame about the tape on the control panel though!

The Centipede. Again the screen was quite hard to see.

The Mario Theme looked great. The LCD's are playing various old home consoles / computers including Manic Miner (speccy), Atari Pong, Golden Eye (N64), Mario Kart (Snes).

Pacman Cocktail - I couldn't really see the screen to play it :(

Atari Gauntlet - Again, was very hard to see the screen. Needed a degauss too.

A very large custom MAME type cab with novel controls

My fave classic game - Donkey Kong. Strangely in a Taito Cocktail and running on a 48-in-1. Controls were not very good.

I couldn't leave without getting my name on the DK scoreboard. I had to cut it short at 46200 as my son was getting bored!
Verdict:
There are some other machines including Galaxian, Street Fighter 2 and a cocktail Frogger. In honesty none of the machines are very playable due to the amount of reflection and dull screens, however there are many other exhibitions on the other floors including a great televsion area which my son enjoyed immensely. All in all a good day out tarnished ever so slightly by the lack of playability in the gaming lounge.
